The School today

Headington School today is a vibrant, thriving school with 1000 girls aged 3-18. Set in more than 23 acres in the heart of Oxford, Headington offers a broad and varied curriculum and achieves significant success both inside and outside of the classroom.

From its purpose-built nursery to its large Sixth Form offering both A Levels and IB, the School is consistently in the top 50 academic schools in the UK.

Whilst academic success is paramount, life at Headington is about much more than exam results. Wiith a renowned drama department based in its own theatre, sporting success including international success for its rowing club and national awards for Art, all girls are encouraged to discover and devlop new skills and talents.

The School has certainly come a long way since those early days during the First World War, yet has stayed true to its founding principles of providing an outstanding education for girls to equip them for the demands of modern life.
